The central star system of Etheria (known Etheric Space). It contains one planetary body: Regulus Prime and multitudes of orbital stations/moons around it known as Havens. Regulus Prime is the sole source of Crystalle, an energy matrix crystal that powers all modern technology. It is also home to a being of energy that exists planet-wide which calls itself God.

There are 22 Worlds in the Empire, 11 in the core (green circle at center) and 11 in the rim (red spaces around the core). In addition, 50 'lesser' Worlds exist that are not part of the Empire. The @ symbol at the center is the location of Regulus.

An energy being of immense power, existing as a waveform inside the crystal structures that dominate the inner surface of Regulus Prime. It generates Etheric Space, and has only just begun in the last thirty centuries to understand humanity by Communion. The mining of Crystalle by Control is welcomed by God, as it is a waste production of its natural processes. The mining is much more efficient for it than how it deals with the waste naturally. This makes the energy production for humanity a symbiotic relationship with the entity. The depleted crystals are returned to it, and are converted back to Crystalle in an endless cycle.

While the Empire rules the 72 Worlds of humanity, Control rules the Regulus system itself, and much of the infrastructure humanity depends upon. Control is an elected assembly of people who do the bidding of God via the Director, one person in charge of Control chosen by God. Control will at times submit to the authority of the Empire over their populace, but operates as a partner and is independent of Empire mandates & authority.

The Empire is a republic of 22 Worlds, where each 5 cycles a standard Assembly vote is made for the seat of the Empire, the result of which is transfer of most Empire control to one of the Worlds and it's Steward. Each World has a vote in the Assembly, and for the last 50 votes each time Chytri of the Union 'Solar Nexus Constortium' SNC has taken the vote. This has led to an amassing of power for SNC and Chytri, which in turn has begun a budding Rebellion against the Empire.

A powerful, large criminal Syndicate operating within Control and the Empire. Crews of Operatives run Jobs for clients profits and standing. Each player character in Regulus is a Network Operative and together the group of players form one Crew. Jobs vary widely, from the smallest forgery tasks of Empire accounting to the theft of mined Crystalle from Regulus.

People live in luxury we can hardly imagine in our time. War is constant and wildly efficient, but the idea of killing population has long since been purged from the goal. Now wars are always about lavish wealth, standing within the Empire, and so on. So this isn't a grim setting, but that said things are getting a little more intense with the budding growth of the Rebellion and their desire to see the Empire be rebuilt at any cost.
